Nationalists,eh,Gromit.Tell us Scots about nationalists. We are now entering the thirteenth year of a nationalist government up here in Scotland.
Sorry,worse than that,sixteen years.
scotlands public services burn under the snp, meanwhile they have there expensive pet projects, snp do not serve there electorate, devolution should never have happened, to many crazies with self importance, who do not have a clue, same for wales.
How are these comments relevant to fines imposed upon the Trump Organization?

Thanks TCL, I was trying to work that out too.
Well both the Trump organisation and the SNP regime up here in Scotland are considered as nationalists. Its not rocket science.
As we say up here in Scotland-Celtic and Rangers-two cheeks of the same sectarian ar*e.
ynnafymmi will bring SNP and scots nationalism into any thread.
Trump’s star is in permanent decline I would hope

Otherwise, want to drone on about the SNP for the umpteenth time, start a separate question on them and try but to keep hijacking other people’s discussions.
Anyone heard anything of Steve Bannon?
Or Hunter Biden?

Doh...sorry, we're not bothered what shenanigans he gets up to.

Are we?
@19.52.and your problem about that is what?
At least Hunter Biden is at least loosely related to the subject
Yawn !
22:17 @ Trump, Biden, Scotland or all of the above?
Trump'a mum was Scottish:-)

The problem with the court decision is that the company and not the man is being punished.

He may not have been directly involved in avoidance of tax but I have no doubt that he knew it was happening and most probably encouraged it.

He is a man with no redeeming qualities.

// He may not have been directly involved in avoidance of tax //

Thankfully just like here in the UK, tax avoidance in the US is not a crime. Else I for one, would now be wearing one of those suits adorned with 'up arrows' and eating porridge for breakfast.

The Trump Org was found guilty of a very serious crime - Tax Fraud!

Unfortunately the $1.6m penalty does not reflect the gravity of the crime that has been committed.

Furthermore it will have no bearing on Trump's candidacy should he choose to run in next year's elections.

To prevent Trump (by legal means) from running in 2024 there is just one glimmer of hope. That is to get him on the 14th Amendment.

Don't hold your breath.

I think that I should have said tax evasion, which is illegal and not tax avoidance which isn't.
In the UK, if it is decided that a tax avoidance scheme is "aggressive" or "abusive" meaning (in simple terms) the processes involved are so convoluted they are not rational, it is evasion.
It’s interesting how the AB social warriors lost their minds when Trump was found to have had sensitive information at his house, but they’re remarkably quiet when Sleepy Joe was found to have sensitive information in a closet and a garage.

Funny that.
