If he was to win would it be considered the greatest comeback since Lazarus rose from the grave?

He may have announced it but he still needs the nomination which is anything but certain.
He can't consider it to be a comeback because he believes he never left.

True. If he doesn't get it he might run as an independent, deliberately split the Republican vote, and give the keys of the White House to the Democrats.
I don't think Laz rose from the grave, did he? I thought that JC brought him back to life. Anyway, he allegedly didn't last long afterwards - one of JC's timewasters if you ask me.
Thank you Atheist for my first really good laugh of the day x
Jnhn 11.38 - Jesus goes to the tomb, and Maria ( one of many) says - he will be high lord, as high as kite
and Jesus says do it!

Thanks, PP. I heard a rumour that he (Laz)got in a brawl afterwards and was stabbed to death. I bet Thomas said to JC "I told you so."
you mean Lazza got the shazza from Jazza ?
well that is my kind of language!
and Jazza said to Tozza: "I doubt you not"
all the subjects of miracles died,

and in John they are called signs ( SHMEIA ) - of which there are 7. and one can wonder (!) about why and which seven were chosen and what they were signs of
He needs to stand down and allow DeSantis through so the Republicans stand a chance. He is far too toxic now.

As TTT says though, putting yourself forward doesnt mean you get it.
Indeed
It sort of summed up Trump’s ailing fortunes that his announcement was overshadowed by events further east.
Although it was rather a shambling performance so maybe from his point of view that wasn’t such a bad thing
I doubt if he’d stand as an independent.
He’d be destined to come third and it would be a humiliation
Depends how deluded he is

What could he know about DeSantis, or is that just an attempt to blacken a rivals name without the bother of producing any evidence?
"Trump has announced he is going to run"
Hope he can run fast, before the FBI catch up with him.
On this very page, as I'm reading your responses, one of the pop up ads is requesting donations to Trumps campaign. Oh, and the ad at the bottom of the screen says "Trump 2024 OPEN". No, I don't think so.
Sandy - Trump doesn't have to know anything about DeSantis. He'll just make something up and his knuckle-dragging followers will believe it as true.
Question Author
True,. Something like his claim he was robbed. He says it and the faithful believe it.
Trump to run.

Aye, and pigs might fly.

He can barely manage a stroll down a simple ramp.
His big announcement was somewhat of a damp squib. Fox News stopped televising it half way through. They've already said they won't support him.

Sensible Republicans are now openly critical and even his erstwhile election denying cronies are being slow to offer support.

He has too many lawsuits and investigations hanging over him.

Anyone normal would throw his weight behind another candidate for the good of his party, but of course Trump being Trump he couldn't care less about the party, only himself.

What happens over the next year or so will be entertaining, that's for sure.
