Another Manifesto pledge broken by the Tories .
How many pensioners will vote Tory at the next G/E now that they have suspended the triple lock system on their state pensions. Typical Tory Trick The rich get rich and the pensioners get poorer.

Voting for the same Party regardless of how well they perform is just monumentally stupid. Even if you're a long-term Tory supporter, it should be obvious that you want a *competent* and capable Tory party. A good way to achieve that is to send them to opposition now and then, to make sure that they don't fall into complacency. As regards the triple lock, I'm...

Tory Voters are very Fickel . They voted for Truss and now they are saying they wish they had voted for Sunak, They voted for Boris just to get Brexit done, now the polls say they regret Brexit. No wonder Britain is going Backwards.

//Don’t be silly, Gulliver. Do you really think there are no Conservative pensioners? //

Of course there are. How do you think Truss got voted into the top job? They thought she was Thatcher reincarnated! Lol
I wouldn't mind so much if the link hadn't said they are thinkinh of raising work age benefits by inflation rate. This country seems to favour people on benefits rather than workers or retired workers.
Nobody thought she was a reincarnation of Margaret Thatcher, and Tory voters had nothing to do with Truss being elected prime ministet.
"Who guv? Me guv? Not me guv, it was 'im over there" said every Tory

20.45"Tory voters had nothing to do with Truss being elected as Prime minister" Who do you think elected Truss as PM , then.
gulliver... tory members voted for Truss not Tory voters.
about 1% of Con voters in last election were Con members, so 99% of them Con voters got no chance to vote for Truss
Ah Liz why .This would have been a face saver .You could have said ruin my wish on lowering tax and most of what I wanted todo but don’t you dare make me let the pensioners down . would have sounded good believe me .
At least this Tory government are consistent, having broken the pension triple lock last year too.
Think you'll find that they haven't broken 'a manifesto pledge' just yet. She declined to confirm that previous promises would be met. There is a difference. And, given the season for u-turns, think you might find your distaste a little premature.
Tory party members voted for Truss, not general population Tory voters.
Hymie: not true. You seem to believe that they've just suspended the triple lock when they got rid of the triple lock last year.
I'm a pensioner and there is'nt a snowflake in hells chance that i would ever vote labour, just remember the 70's and 80's,high interest rates, high immigration, high unemployment ,and even worst all the money from north sea oil and gas wasted on keeping people on the dole happy.
Same here- I will never vote for Labour again- ever. We've seen high inflation before and we'll see it again. But that's no incentive to vote for Labour thanks very much. Posts from trolls on here who don't even live in the UK won't swing it in Labour's direction despite your daily bile and repetitive anti-government ranting.
fripfrip: For some reason you don't seem to have noticed the Labour governments of 1997 to 2010. They are more recent examples than the examples you gave. Odd.
^and the 80s was Cons not Labour
^^ ^^
Well said, just wish some of the younger generation would realise that you can work yourself out of poverty.
They'll be out of office in two years.
fripfrip: Just when you thought the standard of debate couldn't get any lower.
^^ ^^
OOH,so sorry your lordship.
