I thought I would start a separate thread on the situation in Ukraine as several of the other related threads are getting a bit fractious and have long since deviated from the original question.
That isn't a criticism: it's human nature and shows we're free to argue.
This man was miraculously pulled from his car in Obolon (N Kyiv) after it was steamrollered by a Russian tank. The "denazification" process continues (!)
ICH, I called it an armoured vehicle. I am not bothered what particular class of armoured vehicle it is considering the damage but you are calling it a tank.
You refer to it having a "Z" which, I have read, is used by the Russians. I could not see that marking on the videos I seen.
When you see the ordinary people assembling in the centre of Dnipro engaged in a mass Molotov-cocktail-making session it makes you think however optimistically that Putin can it ultimately win this
Question AuthorArmed saboteurs came in from the north west.
I agree that it may not have been a Russian tank, but looks like possibly hijacked vehicles. A tank convoy would presumably not do zigzagging into vehicles, reversing over them, or taking pot shots at apartment buildings

Will you be retracting you 'Pathetic' comment, ich?
In fact it looks to have been even worse than I first thought.
When I first saw it I thought it looked deliberate but then assumed it must be an accident for the reason I gave at 11.46
ichkeria
Er, no.
I think you were suggesting it was being driven by the home side

Really?
I clearly said I had no idea what happened (as in who was driving, was it malicious or accident, Russian or pro Russian Ukrainian)
Where as you claimed to know but are now flip-flopping more than a flip-flopping thing.
From what I've seen on the video the "tank" stopped after it squashed the car. Had it been someone not familiar with the controls which caused him to swerve accidentally then I think he would stop. An aggressor, who squashed the car deliberately, would just have carried on.
I can’t believe we’re still taking about this 76 posts later but here goes yet again :-)
Kyiv residents saw an apparent convoy of Russian vehicles passing their flats.
It may according to observers have been actually hijacked vehicles.
Especially when you consider the behaviour of the vehicles in question, behaving more like joy riders in one case and shooting at residents.
We know there were saboteurs entering the city at that point.
Why would Ukrainian forces behave like that?
I’m a simple soul.
TCL - I've just watched the very end of the video and it did back off. It doesn't go far enough to show if it stopped again or cleared off. Shoots down my speculation.
