Good grief, there are some moaning nasty people on this post.
I , for one don't envy any part of the Queen's life. She has served this country well .As for living in luxury ,I don't think she has been extravagant and thrown money around. Although she doesn't actually need to she insists on paying tax. However what she does with her money is her business and if she has allegedly helped Andrew out with his money problem then so be it. Most parents ,rich or poor, would probably do the same if they had the means to.
As for receiving first class health care ? What would you do ?Shove her in an ambulance and ship her off to one of these Nightingale hospitals. For God's sake you don't have to fall to the floor and kiss her feet and fawn all over her. Just accept that we are a Monarchy and at this present time she is the Queen .

I have mixed feelings. I respect the queen and believe she has been a great servant as well as monarch, trying to do what is required of her with grace and dignity.
I do wonder; bearing in mind she is a christian, and would therefore have a personal certainty of being reunited with her beloved Philip whether she might wish she could set aside duty, and live a quiet life until it is time to join him.
Maybe she will use this jubilee year as her farewell tour before letting Charles assume a regency allowing to fulfil her promise to serve as queen for her lifetime while having some peace and calm in her final years.
