margo: "choux - D F C - I could think of lots of things that would get me put in the sin bin, but would hazard a guess at a second rate football club :-) " - didn't know they'd improved!

Could be Distinguished Flying Cross ?
Maybe someone is a bit of a whizz on a broomstick ?

Just joking Maggiebee

Trying to inject a bit of humour into a thread that has gone sour and bitter

I am a former soldier
My oath of allegiance has no expiry date

I wish her as speedy a recovery as any other 99 year old with covid
^
95 year old
mozz: //trange Tora, it reads more "I don't care if she dies" to me. Very different to wishing death on someone.// - well they are in the same ball park.
Best wishes to HM, hope she makes a good recovery.
Tora, no they're not. They are completely different.

If you can't see that, then you are blinded by your already established dislike of Maggie, something that you've hinted at by your inevitable use of one of you favourite phrases: "anti-English".
Dear God, here we go again. “ you hate the English” .
13.05 Looking on through the remarks it does seem that you need a tin hat, but I doubt a tin one would prove to be strong enough. I will keep 2 on hand in case one becomes fractured.

There does appear to be a pack of wolves at every door ready to pick up the slightest scent and ready to pounce.
I wonder where it came from. You'd think people would be checked before coming into any woman in her 90s.
Charles and Camilla tested positive and they had been to see her before they knew jno
I agree jno anyone at 95 should be very well protected.
Who actually gives a flying fungus what the the short-tempered windbags north of the border think? God save the Queen.
Ha ha ha ha ha. Thanks, you made me laugh. Churchill and Maggie, . Living in the past much ?

^ there is no need for that Spungle. Perhaps this should end here and we should all agree to disagree please
Yep, definitely. Are you trying to suggest the present is somehow an improvement?! Help us.
Was a genuine question Margo. And yes, God save The Queen.
Her Majesty has asked me to pass on her grateful thanks to Answerbank members for their good wishes but reminds them that opinions vary and should be respected.

Some of her best friends are Scottish, even though they have home counties accents. :-P

:-)))))))))
She has a cold.
Being positive it will be interesting to see how quick the Queen recovers, because there are now a lot more drugs available to treat covid. If she can recover at that age then the new drugs will have proved there worth for others.
I would query whether the Queen lives in such luxury - when guests go to Balmoral, they are advised to take extra jumpers as the place is so cold. And we've seen pics of the Queen in her sitting room with a two bar heater on. I think she lives quite frugally.
