The piece Sarah Vine wrote is garbage. Its been pretty apparent Carrie Antoinette pulls the strings and before that it was Cummings. The polices are hers in particular the Green ones. Johnson should have controlled his wife and she should have realised that she was not elected and kept her beak out of it. Both need to vacate No10 ASAP so the Tories can start to...

I'm beginning to wonder how long she will be Mrs Johnson for. A lot of her green policies are upsetting Tories; I tend to think she'll get the blame for his unpopularity and the man is not known for his loyalty.
I quite like Carrie, but maybe the knives are now out for her as well !
She's not just a pretty face. Hang on...
Good point danny, what I was going to type about Carrie I have deleted before it mysteriously disappeared.
I tend to agree with (the still just I think) Mrs Gove this morning: there’s a lot of nonsense written about Carrie Johnson (she didn’t quite put it like that).
If she really is the malign influence much of the press claims then more fool Johnson for allowing it.
Johnson has squandered his chance to be a good PM far more likely because he simply good PM material.
Always easier to blame a woman of course.
blame the woman, as usual. Johnson holds the job. He does it properly or he doesn't.

But just remember that he lost his first job, at the Times, for making things up, when Carrie was about one year old. His boosters are going to have to work through an awful lot of women overthe years if they want to prove all his failings are someone else's fault.
jno.......I don't think we are blaming the woman on this thread, certainly not the OPer.

It seems that this thread is all about Boris not controlling his wife, if she is interfering.
sort of, Sqad but they're attacking him for not managing his wife properly as a proxy for not managing the country properly. I don't think she's the actual problem.

I was startled to scroll down to that second photo. Is his head twice the size of hers?
sorry, should have added I wasn't talking about the people on this thread but about those in the Mail story.
Question Author
I don't think that Lord Ashcroft would be silly enough to leave himself to a libel suit by publishing untruths.I tend to believe what he says in his book.
He’s just quoting other people isn’t he?
dannyk, I'm not suggesting it's libellous to say (for instance) 'I would say Boris is trapped in an emotionally disruptive relationship. I think he's definitely scared of her and I think she dominates him.'

That's just an opinion, and not even Ashcroft's (though if it was libellous, he'd be liable as well, for republishing it). Same for the rest of the piece.
The thought of Boris having sufficient balls to control anything, nevermind a confident female, is actually funny.

His plan in life was to be PM, he got the job and messed it up.
The Mail is running the Ashcroft story at the same time as the Sarah Vine piece, a case of having your cake and eating it ...
She sounds like a nightmare
Boris has the morals of an alleycat
They must be one of the most dysfunctional families in Britain !
/// His plan in life was to be PM ///

UKPM's just another stepping Stone, like the London Mayorship. His ultimate aim, as an American-born citizen, is POTUS. He's just the Republican's cup of tea.
What rubbish Canary.

Did she choose the wallpaper?
YMB 15.46,"So the Tories can start to attempt to get back to some credibility"
....Too late for that me old china ....
Boris has damaged the Tory Party for a long time to come, they will be out of the game for at least a decade.
