Most voters associate Boris with Dishonesty, Greed, and Lies. Say half of voters in a new poll. Yet people still voted for the Cons in the Municipal elections. But what will happen at the next G/E ?.

Boris is currently living above or near enough to his place of work, does he count as being London centric, or is that for the Labour bods....who do seem to live Islington way.
How many were asked, where were they asked, Scotland, labour strongholds in London.
2,242 British adults. Doesn't say where.

"However, very few 2019 Conservative voters say that the stories make them less likely to vote Conservative." So the poll was probably nationwide.
Perhaps they will understand in the great scheme of things it doesn't matter who pays for your redecorating or your holidays if you get the big decisions right. Oh we have a global pandemic, a Russian government that allows its agents to kill whoever it wants without sanction, China is up to all sorts, and we still haven't sorted out the folk across the channel, let alone the economy, housing, jobs etc and the opposition want the PM to explain how he funded his new wallpaper.
indeed Rowan,
Yet, "The poll contradicts Mr Johnson's repeated claims that voters are not interested in stories about his private contacts with businessmen and the renovation of his Downing Street flat."
perhaps many don't expect Boris to behave in the same way as others do, he does circumvent the rules.
Load of rubbish.
Reading between the lines, particularly those covering the breakdown of the Nolan Principles, i think it can be summed up thus; though many see Boris as a lying, greedy, corrupt sleazebag, he is also considered to be a quite adequate leader. Which, i suppose, is about the best we can hope for in these troubled times.
I don’t know anyone who espouses those negative sentiments Ken - except those on here who, no matter what, play to a regular agenda - and I don’t know them anyway so who cares what they think?
How often do you hear victims of a conman say,"He seemed so nice and jolly and friendly, I never gave a thought to it being a con".

As my old china TTT has said in the past, The General Public is as thick as [censored but I'm sure you remember the word he used].

Just reading the link provided, Naomi. And, in the great big scheme of things, who cares what any of us anywhere think?
// But what will happen at the next G/E ?.//

they will get another shogging. - - I have missed something ,havent I?

As TTT says so often: The General Public is as thick as [censored but I'm sure you remember the word he used].

yeah foo I liked - - they were so nice and friendly and helpful I should have realised that it couldnt possibly be a bank calling
erm did I notice someone saying no one cared what people thought on this site
( as a comment on this site - - so no one cared about hers as well)
I did - didnt I ? - - - but - - - who cares?
This is a poll of 2242 people from a population of 60 odd million - and from that the conclusion is drawn that half of voters have negative feelings about the PM. That’s sensible! Sheesh!
Naomi don’t forget they’re putting Eddie Izzard out there as there prize Labour candidate :0))))
If only Boris would stop the rubber dinghies full of asylum seekers, his popularity would go through the roof!
