I've done all my own shopping as I can't be bothered to faff around trying to find an online slot 2-3 weeks hence and then have the order turn up minus crucial items as has happened to a number of friends. My daughter regularly berates me for going out at all!

There are no regulations that discriminate between “vulnerable”, “extremely vulnerable” and “young and fit as a fiddle.” There is advice, but no regulations.

All this (and more, including another question where it was asked if it is OK to have decorators in) demonstrates to me that there is huge amounts of confusion. The line has been (deliberately?) blurred between advice and legislation. There are people on AB who think they risk being fined if they step out of their front door. However that has arisen, it’s a disgrace.

I said 'properly' NJ. At the moment they are only allowing emergencies and you have to wait outside in your car and pay by 'phone (whatever that means). My dog needs his anal glands emptying on a regular basis and they won't do it because it's not an emergency. Well it will be when they become impacted and this is worrying for me. I can't understand why vets are so 'precious' when supermarkets are staying open and the NHS are working flat out. They always bleat on about how animal welfare is their 'priority' - well not at the moment it's not.

I agree iluvmargie. It would be easy to organise. they could mask up and wear ppe and clients could wait in their cars and could be phoned to come in, covering their faces. Minimal human contact. No need to use a waiting room. Waiting for an issue to become an emergency is just awful.
