They have had the whole of the summer holidays to protest, or is this just another exercise brought on by their left-wing teachers?

All seems reminiscent to the Nazi teachers in 1930's Germany.

In your day children were still being shoved down chimneys to dislodge the soot:-/ Well, those that weren't suffering from polio and rickets, that is.
I guess, if you believe in Climate Change, you applaud these kids. If your'e a sceptic, you don't.
Nothing to get one's knockers in a twist over, imho of course.
I can tell you haven't discussed climate change with any child, AOG
// Ask most children. "what is climate change"?

Most would say " In winter it is cold and sometimes snows" and "in Summer it is hot and sometimes rains". //

Yeah... no. What strange things you come out with sometimes.
//And what is the school childrens's solution to the problem of climate change? //

42 of course. the only problem being us, the Golgafrinchans, crash landed here and *** up the programming, so maybe it isn't.....
My granddaughter and her friends are out on strike. They know exactly what they are doing and the impact climate change is having on our planet. They will be around mopping up the mess when we are all long gone. Were none of you CND members during the 60s? You do what you believe in.
The children’s future, their right to strike . Good luck to them .

I never ever remember there being any children in the CND protests, neither can I ever remember kids going on strike.
the saucepans are on strike? How will we tell? What a load of old pony!
Oh no, an Independent article removed. That undermines the whole thing. I'm shocked.
tell you what, give up your smart phones kids, yep that's right one of the most highly polluting processes on the planet is the production of batteries. Tell You what I'll take you seriously when you've all binned your smart phones.
And walk to school instead of having mummy drive you there.
These people should stick to nonsense predictions about the climate in a hundred years time, jim, like you do.
All their short term prediction turn out to be bull-*** and undermine the religion.
good point danny, how many car journeys are io take them to school? My mum took me to school once in my entire life, the first day. After that it'd have been merciless if I'd been dropped off by my mum, what's happenned?
AOG, I went on my first CND march when I was about 14. I worried about the future, just as the schoolchildren of today do.
How could someone suggest I'd ever be a CND member ! Had more sense than that.
Besides if anything it was unrealistic students from college or that age group, not school pupils.
I'm surprised at how long ago they'd invented nuclear weapons, maggie.
maggie: "AOG, I went on my first CND march when I was about 14." - I'd have put money on that!
Why surprised Spicey? Hiroshima and Nagasaki spring to mind but probably long before that.

During WW2 we worried about the future but what did we do? Most certainly we did not take to the streets in protest.
