I gloss over posts from PP, ( who dat den) childish nonsensical gibberish.
"childish nonsensical gibberish."

Takes a rather intellectual person to figure out what PP is saying or usually.. implying. Probs why you simply gloss over his posts. ;)
I always put a small English flag in my window on St George's Day, dug it out again this morning ! I am proud to be English actually.
I gloss over because it is childish, (wot dat den)
Some light humour ......

Happy St George's Day, Darling
Come spend the day, with me, in bed
You're not one for slaying dragons
You married her instead

I don't even bother glossing over them any more, just ignore them.

Just seen this, . . . is spath trying to tell us he's an intellectual?
Emperors new clothes springs to mind.
Lol and yay Lol again.
Apparently we have all been shafted according to the Cof E. Just heard on LBC that we can't have a feast day in a Easter week so the official St Georges Day should be celebrated on the 29th now.
Just enjoyed a tincture or four of Greene King 'George and the Flagon' in my local hostelry.
I suppose I will have to celebrate the day again next week. Sigh :-)
Spoken like a true Englishman Retro:)

Well said that man, Cheers!
why not, sounds like a yard is in order......?

great !

as for no saints days during Easter Week
I imagine - the feast of Easter Tuesday takes precedence.

My St George flag is flying high
And to all the saints wherever you are; whomever you are; and whatever you are celebrating and why ,this is for you:
Let TROP be warned and fly the flag.
//Matthew Salisbury, the Church of England’s national liturgy and worship adviser, told ITV: “St George’s Day is translated to April 29 as nothing other than a principal feast would take place during Easter week.”

A Church of England spokesman said: "To protect major festivals from overlapping, the saints days of St George and St Mark must be postponed.

"When St George’s Day or St Mark’s Day falls between Palm Sunday and the Second Sunday of Easter inclusive, it is transferred to the Monday after the Second Sunday of Easter, in this case, the week beginning April 29.”//
What a lot of fuss over a symbol. Who cares what his background was - he's for England. By the way dragons didn't exist either. Try using the same argument when it's St Patrick's day (and look up his origins).
The COE get everything wrong, they cannot even preach the Gospel so ignore them.
