Where was the stenographer ?
Having a fag i suppose -Stupid woman
One can perhaps agree that the words "stupid woman" are 'unparliamentary'...and Mr Corbyn should apologise for them solely on that basis...but the total accuracy of his statement is surely beyond doubt!
Maybe^.
Lying to try and cover it up is a much more serious thing as the fragrant Fiona found out today.
> Speaker has just brought Corbyn back to explain what he said.He says he said "stupid people"

Lying about what he said is perhaps a bigger offence than what he said.
What a pratt.
He should have stuck with “Bloody difficult woman”
Oh dear. He might be right but he's a stupid man to try to wriggle out of it.
I actually don't think it's fair to call May stupid - if indeed he did, I find it hard to read his lips in the clip. I think (and I said this at the last election) that she's dishonest, inconsistent, unprincipled and a closet authoritarian. But the number of times she has survived crises that seemed to obviously be the end of her is really quite staggering. She's not an idiot.
I'm sure Corbyn knows that Mrs May is not stupid. As far as I can see he was referring to her pantomime performance, which was a bit stupid, tbf.
It's the old story - anyone on here can mutter away to their heart's content, and nothing happens.

When the Opposition Leader does it in The House, with the camera phones of dozens of Tory MP's looking at you, you have to be very careful what you say, to avoid situations like this.
She is, after all, the Maybot, capable only of behaving mechanically. That in itself, rather than intelligence, helps her to survive crisis after crisis. In addition, her minions invariably become chameleon-like in their support of her. At one vote, a third of them make it clear that they do not have any confidence in her and, at the very next vote, they support her virtually to a man! That is something about Westminster procedure that I find vastly more offensive than unparliamentary language.
Quizmonster, it's not unusual for people to support their own regardless of what's gone before.

Krom, you're right. She's not stupid, but she seems to think everyone else is.
Even that's not fair either. I suspect she's convinced that she is right and that everyone else is wrong, there's surely little doubt of that. But thinking someone is wrong isn't the same as thinking them stupid.
// no one knows what was said or the intend behind it.//

oh come on - one person knows - he does ( Corbo that is! )

/w/ and /p/ both use/need lips
but the /w/ is using orbicularis oris - kissy kissy that muscle - think Marilyn

I think it was a /w/

lip readers and speakers are divided - on political lines needless to say - not surprisingly I come from a deaf kindred
// Quizmonster, it's not unusual for people to support their own regardless of what's gone before. //

o god how true how true - look at all the Brexiters insisting that 0.5% difference in the vote means the minority MUST follow the majority in Brexit
and then when Maybot wins by scores of votes - o! o! that is not enough! when it comes to confidence

jesus
Leave Jesus out of it!
It is quite staggering that in the eve of a potential constitutional crisis so much time has been wasted on this idiotic affair.
Corbyn should be called to task for for his failure to call a vote of no conficence (it was left the the SNP in the end).
Is this what the government wanted to make time for by refusing (albeit rightly) to make room for the debate he did ask for?
what a rude, ignorant, LITTLE man.
cob speaks his mind? that didn't take long!
He should have said stupid old cow,
