Khandro, you would rather believe the Morning star than this?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-43740626
// destroyed over 20 incoming missiles//
hmm to be confirmed

we were told cruise missiles were to be used but they use old technology ( V1 ram jet propulsion, yup, really ) and are subsonic - so it SHOULD be possible to track and shoot down. - and Trump spoke about shiny new missiles.

The patriot system given to Israel during one war - when an arab state started shelling Jerusalem - didnt work.
they said it did at the time - most of the damage in the city was done by falling patriot missile parts
PP your previous post reminded me of these lyrics

And they tell me that a man made a vegetable truck
I didn't see that, I only heard
But just to be sociable, I'll take your word
vulcan; // you would rather believe the Morning star than this?//
Yes, yes, of course, all your BBC link says is;
"Unverified video shows children being treated after the alleged gas attack"
With so many reporters from all over the World in Syria (all knowing conclusive footage would make them rich) wouldn't you think the BBC could find something better in the way of proof?

Did you naively believe too, in the 'dodgy dossier', with its lies of WMD's that to us so disastrously into Iraq?
Khandro, I suggest that you wait for the outcome of this before pooh poohing everything.

just how can a reporter prove anything ?
especially with your logic ?

did the astronaut's really land on he moon?
I do not know I was Not There !!!
Can only concur with OG’s excellent first post on page 1.
It was the only right and proper course of action left open.
Interesting article in today’s Times about the so-called Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media (SPM): a small network of academics promoting pro-Assad propaganda on tv and social media. Prominent among them is one Professor Tim Hayward. They promote the views and activities of pro-Assad journalist in Syria Vanessa Beeley and are accused of promoting opinion based on blogs and dubious websites. They’ve been heavy on criticism of the ‘video evidence’ of the latest chemical weapons attack. I’m mildly interested in what motivates these people : it plainly isn’t trying to get at the facts, as all they ever seem to do is question other people’s views and even in at least one case try to silence them
Could one or two of them have infiltrated AB?
NoMercy

/// We go into combat with heavy hearts, ///

So easily said from someone who has never been in combat or is ever likely to be.
Assad released chemical weapons on civilians.

Saddam Hussein apparently had weapons of mass destruction.

I'm not saying he was a nice fellow, but, reports after the event seemed to prove this claim was wrong .

But it was the reason many countries joined forces to attack.

Will anyone know the truth after all?

I feel sorry for the innocent people caught in the middle.
I bet ISIS are clapping their hands now, they have managed to get the USA, the UK and France on their side.
Ozzy, check my link at 10.08
Khandro, whilst the paperwork was undoubtedly ‘sexed up’ I’m pretty certain the population of Halabja (well, those who survived) can testify as to the existence of Saddam”s WMD’s.
As documentary evidence also proves, he was working on something nuclear:

http://edition.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/06/25/sprj.irq.centrifuge/
The might of the USA, the UK and France, how many nations/missiles/bombs/aircraft and ships does it need to take out two chemical plants.
johnny; //just how can a reporter prove anything ?//
That can be said about most things, but one way to be more conclusive would be to show real medics treating real victims in real hospitals (with interviews) and use the age-old method used even by ISIS of including the current newspaper in the footage.
Khandro, I repeat my post at 10.08.
It’s called building an alliance AOG, safety in numbers.

You’ve been in combat, you are familiar with term ‘Allies’, yes?
Khandro, I still think I would believe this extract from the link, spoken by President Macron.
"We have proof that last week chemical weapons, at least chlorine, were used by the regime of Bashar al-Assad."
//Ozzy, check my link at 10.08//

Danny there will be many news reports.

History has shown not all are true.

I'm not making any judgement based on current reports.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ;-/
