Now that BRexit has been achieved, will we see the BLUE passport again? I should say so, but no doubt all those 'orrible red ones must be dished out first.

A passport is an official document that allows me to travel to other parts of the world.... it's colour does not matter one jot. I simply can't understand anyone caring about the colour if it allows entry to somewhere else.

No Pride in your Country then?
I agree with MallyJ.
gromit: " so they will not have two different colours in circulation at the same time" they did when they brought in the coop stamp books. More BS gromit. Yes lets get our proper passports back.

I did ask about that on previous page, but as usual .... ...
How anyone can suggest that a person has no pride in their country because they find it really bizarre that people get upset about the colour of a document is absolutely ridiculous..... it makes not one jot of difference to me what colour my passport is... I find it rather sad that people have nothing else to worry about...I thought that at the time and have not changed my mind..... It does not matter one jot.

"I rest my case"
;o)
I don't give a monkeys what colour my passport is either. The blue one looked nIce and did the job, the red one is pretty boring but does the job too. This is nothing to do with being patriotic.
// I don't know where Gromit gets the under 60 bit from. //

// the blue ones were discontinued over twenty years ago. //

The Black ones were discontinued in the 1970s. Someone needs their own passport at 18 years old. So someone 18 over 40 years ago will be 60ish.
Not so. My last blue one was issued in 1986. All valid passports now, whatever one's age, are burgundy.
That's just it, Tilly....does the job but is boring.......and dull.......if I didn't have the classy green leather cover.....which is a safeguard if I'm kidnapped....I'd bling it up with some glitzy crochet....x
I put mine in a shocking pink passport holder so that I can find it in my bag.
Well they'll have to change them and therefore it's highly likely there will be 2 colours in circulation at the same time just as there was when we switched to red. It's not really about the colour itself but yes I'd feel far more proud to have a passport that was instantly recognisable as British unlike the current ones. The flash of gold will be an added bonus. The old ones were iconic, no argument there surely.
When you want to walk to the front of airport queues shouting "Make way, make way, I'm British", it helps if your passport doesn't look the same as everyone else's in Europe.

And yes, I did see a snooty woman try that once with one of the old blue passports ... how embarrassing / hilarious it was ...
It's nonsense like this that reassures me "Brexit" will never happen.
Europe is laughing at us. But hey, we'll get our "blue" passports back (I never remember having a blue one, as it happens and I've had a few.

Why does it matter if it's blue anyway?
was it tory blue or sky blue?
I couldn't give a toss what colour my passport is.
"was it tory blue or sky blue? "

I remember a blue-ish one, maybe. Definitely darker rather than lighter.
Those were the days when Britain was great :-)
lol ichkeria well that would be a cheap brexit then if that's all it takes to make people happy - a blue passport!
Mine's up for renewal at just the wrong time, apparently. I'll be stuck with the stupid red one that's enabled me to do exactly everything a passport's supposed to.
