the scheme was a company run around that had only one object tax avoidance and may now be unlawful - a company must now have a trading object other than " I dont want to pay tax to the taxman "

I don't want to see this ***, if they are legal fine, none of mine or anyone's business. Frankly I cannot see what all the fuss is about, we'd all do what we can to avoid tax if we had the dosh to make it viable. It's up to the government to make the rules and indeed change them if needed. This whole thing mystifies me completely, who would want a leader not bright enough to avoid tax legally?
But then, the Prime Minister and other MPs are the ones who are supposed to be entrusted with reforming tax laws and changing the rules. If the rules they set are then exploited by the same people who set them... well, that's a massive conflict of interest if ever there was one.
So far as I'm aware there's no evidence that Cameron has actually done anything wrong (morally or legally), apart from to spend far too long before clearing this up. But it seems to be common sense that the people who make the laws have to be trusted not to then abuse said laws.

Those that make the Law should have all aspects of all their income open to those that elect them; also all groups, clubs, associations, memberships,societies, etc.,and of course all private meetings with Lobbyists. should also be known to those that elect them.
This should apply to ALL public lawmakers.
But like the simple proposal that all private contact with Lobbyists, who those Lobbyists are and precisely who funds those Lobbyists and to what amount(£), should be recorded for the Public knowledge, this too will be resisted by the vested interests and their vicarious puppets.

David Cameorn was driving along Whitehall when all of a sudden he has to swerve to avoid a box falling off the lorry in front.
Seconds later a Met policeman called Retro pulled him over for reckless driving.
As Retro starting writing the ticket, DC noticed the box was full of nails and tacks.
"I had to serve or I'd have run over those and blown my tyres!" protested our Prime Minister.
