/if Israeli Jews criticise their governments policy, what are they doing there.
Many don't want a state of Israel/

They are there because it is their country.

Is criticism of ones own country's policies not allowed emmie?

In which case why are you still in this country?
The problem is, you can critisise our Government. You can criticism Ametican Foreign Policy. You can criticise the EU. You can croticise france and Germany. But if you criticise Israel you are branded anti semitic, like AOG did to me earlier.
Even Jewish people are called 'anti Semitic' when they criticise certain aspects of Israeli policy!
if they don;t agree on what policies to be more precise,
same way you refer to DM readers as right wing fascists, or words to tat effect, i would have to scan back a page to see what you put, but that gets trotted out at every opportunity.
your post at 11.31 says it all. You are anti DM readers for reasons only known to you,
strange that many read the paper, and you can't know them all, nor can you know what their lives are like, what they like, dislike, and what they do for a living, nor their ethnicity, strange you criticise the readers of the DM full stop.
// That is probably far too complicated for the average Daily Mail reader to understand, but there you have it. //

Well, we are now at post 88 and the DM readers seem to have swallowed the line that Annelka is an anti semite muslim black footballer, and not someone supporting a friend who is facing a ban.
and you know this how, that all that have contributed to this thread are DM readers, you don't know them and they don't know you.
if its a harmless gesture then why are the politicians, football bosses up in arms.
Yes emmie

Politicians and the people who run football never have political agendas or ulterior motives and always tell the truth
we know they do, but isn't there still a level of racism in sport, football in particular.
what would either gain from it. ?
// Mathieu Deplagne also celebrating a goal in this manner in the French League Cup last January. //

And was largely ignored. No fine. No match ban. No sanctions against him. If Annelka is penalised, it would be strange considering its previous outing went unpunished.
no idea but there are any number of photo's of him featured with the same chap, Anelkas friend...
Amelia has now tweeted that it had nothing to do with racism and that it was an 'anti establishment' gesture. Still, a very naive thing to do.
Anelka (not Amelia!)
-- answer removed --
Basically people are conemning Anelka as an anti semite because he has posed for a picture.

He may be one, but I need more evidence than a posed gesture for me to decide he hates jews.

As I understand it, this gesture is meaningless outside of France. The French authorities have said it is not illegal, and other footballers have done it before without any penalty.

He makes out that he knows me emmie, yet the only thing I know about him is the fact that he is an avid Labour supporter, and anti Daily Mail/Telegraph who lives in Stoke.

Yet you are quite prepared to accept that the Greek footballer's gesture was a Nazi salute, whereas the footballer himself said he was waving to a friend in the stands.
