We nearly bought the other pub in the village that the Archers is 'based' in.

It used to worse though, years ago. Back when we only had 3 channels, BBC One, ITV and BBC Two (but that didn't start until 19:00) this time on a Sunday used to be full of boring religious programs, like Songs Of Praise.

Don't get me wrong...I am sure that it was enjoyed by somebody, but God...did it drag !

By the way, where did all those religious programs go ? There are some weird channels on Satellite TV but there doesn't appear to be anything on normal channels.

sherrardk...I remember, the one with the two gay licensees ! Whatever happened to the Cat and Fiddle, fiddle being the operative word ? Eddy Grundy did some of his dodgiest deals in the Cat but nobody ever mentions it any more...is there a Ambridge version of the Bermuda Triangle ?

Sorry, but I did say I was bored ! I can't even open the Pinot Grigio until 19:00 hours, because "its too early now" apparently.
