As some of you may know Mrs B is in KCH Camberwell, B has been visiting almost daily, he has had the last 2 days off as other family have been visiting, she sees someone every day. As B has had time off he has had a couple of G & Ts in the evening, tonight I have had to hide the gin, he never overdoes it, just enough to induce a lie-in, not conducive with an ea o a 'normal' ward. She had a small Op. this morning, no problems. She is doing far better tan they thought she would, she will still need to transfer to a local hospital for Physio before she comes home, Ashford and Margate are the options, Margate would be favourite as Nat and I areboth based there, good news.

not conducive with an early train^^^^??????
Good news all round xx
Having someone in hospital means having to be organised I know, hope Mrs M is soon more local.
Glad to hear Kate is doing well and I know how exhausting it is to have someone in hospital, hopefully things will continue to progress. x

It is 2½ hrs each way, no fun.
Not sure why you have had to hide the gin...
When my Mum was ill, most of the time I was on another continent. You just have to do it - what else can you do?

SO (invokes SO rule) that's what's happened to it, not a bad move to be fair ;o)
Glad to hear Mrs B is doing ok and is moved nearer to you all soon.

Thanks Sharon, she was doing ok when I saw her on Monday, surprisingly well tbh.
fingers crossed for progress continuing and the move. And order up another bottle of gin, Balders.......

Lol. Our offer was there. No locks on our Rum locker. Even have Angastora for the Ward Room Pinkers. :-)

Yes good news DTC, and as I'm not visiting on Friday, Daughter is, it will reappear tomorrow night

Hello Retro, that'll teach me not to accept an offer :o(
On a more serious note I am really pleased for Kate and the fact she is doing better than expected. I vaguely recall Ashford Hospital when I did a spell of training there. Nice Place. Not the actual hospital but Grosvenor Hall Ashford. Please pass my best wishes on to Kate.
nowt wrong with a G&T if you've got along train journey to sleep it off

Thanks Retro,
Cheers jno
Ashford, miss that in a gin haze, next stop Folkstone and then onto Paris.......not bad for a late dinner....
Good to hear that Mrs B is doing well ( better I mean)
What exactly is Mrs. B's problem? Can we be told?
