Have just read that the music played for Jack Duckworth's last moments tonight is Matt Monro singing 'Softly as I leave you', my favourite song of all time. Worth watching the programme for that alone.

I'm dreading it - it will be so sad.
Oh no - I shall be in floods. Frank Sinatra singing this song was played at my father-in-law's funeral, who I adored. It is a beautiful beautiful song, whoever the singer. I had never heard it before his funeral and was weeping buckets when it played....
thanks for the warning, I'll take my mascara off before Corrie!
Oh no. That was on my top ten list of favourite music on Bobbi's question the other day!! Tissues at the ready.
And vera is supposed to come to take him ..... sob sob
That will spoil it for me!! A bit Dallas!!
Havent been watching for a few weeks, storylines were getting abit silly I thought, but the tissues are at the ready for tonight
Wasn't it Matt Monro who had the huge hit with "Softly as I leave you" back in the 60s?
Sure was. He had a wonderful voice - in fact imho far better than Sinatra - much more expression! He died young.
Did anyone see Bill Tarmey on Loose Women today, such a lovely man
He is lovely Bobbi. But I didn't see him because I can't stand that programme.

I can't remember that Headwreck - what a lovely idea. I shall settle down after Corrie with my cuppa and box of tissues. I shall miss Jack. He is Corrie!!
it was just on LL and I was working in the Lounge but when I saw Bill Tarmey I watched it, he is a very emotional man
