Whilst Paul McCartney is, justifiably, a highly respected musician, regardless of his failing ability to perform as he once did he seems to be wheeled out at practically every major national event and the coronation, something that will be beamed around the world, appears to be next on the list.

Should he be invited to perform - or should it finally be acknowledged that he really is past his sell-by date?

Just take a listen to songs such as"All My Loving","And I Love Her","Here There And Everywhere","Eleanor Rigby",all songs written by Macca,no involvement from Lennon and tell me you dont like Paul McCartney.
I don't like Paul McCartney, ;0)
I like him (lol).
Even though this was four or five years ago now, he's not past his sell-by date ...

While Lennon was the leader of the Beatles in a physical sense,McCartney was the real musical genius behind the band. And George Martin.Everything Lennon did,McCartney did better.
Please tell me Cliff Richard will not be there trying to sing.
no - he sings, it is just that you are tone deaf
Not a Cliffy fan myself,PP,to be honest with you.To sickly sweet for my liking. He did have the first great rock and roll song in the UK with"Lets Move It".
