Have just read that the music played for Jack Duckworth's last moments tonight is Matt Monro singing 'Softly as I leave you', my favourite song of all time. Worth watching the programme for that alone.

I have answered to much worse hw..lol
I am recording it, Bill id doing the doting Grandad bit so he wont be in for a while (P&T) night at school, so we will sit down together and watch it, he is a big Corrie fan too
Everytime he is interviewed and sees a montage he is in tears and that sets me off.Elaine Page sang for him today on LW and he got a standing ovation -I simply am dreading this tonight as its going to be ever so poignant but I will watch and weep :(
See we all know -so we'll be watching the other characters as well.Corrie nail it everytime when it comes to pathos............
Does he tell Molly he heard the conversation between her and Kevin, before he pops his clogs?

o noooooooooooooo -here we go:(
kill the whole lot of would be better
how about killing the whole lot off and let corrie r.i.p and spend the money on something decent
I expect because home and international sales of the show are what pays for the rest of Granada TV
He is a brill actor -its been hard for him but I believe what we are gonna see is going to be very sentmental :(

Bet Bill Tarmey is happy to hear that :)
He's 69 not 74 by the way.
well the papers got it wrong with him singing Wind Beneath my Wings, unless it is heard at his funeral, it was a very moving tribute to a well loved character

I thought that was a bit silly!

I only hope that was what happened when my Dad passed, but with abit more style, cos Mum and Dad were leaders at the sequence dance meetings and knew how to cut a rug
oh was it hw, I must have been too busy watching his face as he looked around there for the last time ;-)
