Just to make it clear to the "Fred Doberman" type characters on here:

I am not a low life, as was implied in the previous OP re the Boat Race.

I never mentioned the word "posh" in any of my replies.

I am not anti-Biritsh, or a 5th columnist just because I have views that differ from someone else's.

Those comments are inaccurate and unnecessary.

Having read the replies on the previous thread about the boat race, I saw nothing to warrant changing my opinion. In fact, they frurther increased.

I've watched it a couple of times on TV and have marvelled at the ability of commentators to get that excited.
for what it is worth 10c
I do not think you are a low life
What's all that about?
Let us meet for a pint half way p Oldham Rd
you are getting too involved

the only thing I recollect abart duh boat race is Jean-marie Looley-Schmooley talking about low life getting into Cge eight and doing it - -- because he can row ( They won)

then he got his knickers ( Fransh knickers, ferr' priddy) in a knot over whether this was high class or not en France. It might have been ( or not)

and his Angleesh wasnt that good either
Yeah OK
Anne Asquiths column where she said she heard Balders and turned off

Posh does come up. and 5C - at least I know what it stands for now.

It is a race for chrissakes

Feeft Column. ( Franco "there eez a feeft column eenside Madree'. " When the capital falls the war ends. Do you realise that if you go to the Plaza of the Opera, and face the Palace ( of the keeng of spain silly!). Then the main thrust on Madree, 1936 comes from your right, Thro the medical school. And if you go THERE, and know that..... then the chips in the facade, are clearly unfilled bullet strikes.)

Pp, re your first sentence I’m totally puzzled.
Clarion, don’t be giving any of those ‘ names’ any attention .
Not sure what this thread is about. I get called names all the time, just let it go, name calling only works if you show you are bothered by it.
Oh my, I cannot believe you've put up a thread about this. Let's have the facts before you accrue all the sympathy, you were the first to say on that thread
"The biggest sporting non-event of the year for upper class, toffee-nosed showboats"
And you think that's nice? it's worse than saying 'posh'.
10cs: On this thread:
https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Sport/Question1831824-1.html
You said:
"The Boat Race? The biggest sporting non-event of the year for upper class, toffee-nosed showboats. I don't know why the BBC waste money on it. " - ok so the word "posh" was not actually used but I think the general sentiment was quite clear. Your evaluation was comprehensively debunked and you were eviscerated by the following comments but now appear to want some more. Are you some kind of masochist or what?

The greatest Rower in history, Sir Steve Redgrave was the son of a builder! The left always go on about "class" etc but in reality it's them that re-enforce that concept by their inferiority complexes.

:o) I just love this website! TTT showing the Frank Doberman side again! :o)
Have you any idea how stupid you look now 10cs? You got hammered on the other thread, now you come back for more!
Question Author
I only "got hammered" because that's what you think. My opinion hasn't changed because of anything that was typed by you or anyone else. And what I said in the OP still applies.
Thanks for all the replies folks. Should have said that sooner.

What knowledge is required? It's upper class gubbins that commenced in 1829 and for some reason the BBC waste licence payers money on it.
