So some very kind people wished me good luck for my exams. There's a very short time between sitting the exams and getting the results, and they were released this afternoon, in partial form. Could have got pass (~30% or above), or merit (~65%+) or distinction (80%+ ish). And got ... a merit!

It might just be typical Cambridge snobbery for all I know but a Merit is thought of as a First and a distinction is a "really good first". This is for my Masters, last year I completed my BA with a First.

Theoretical Physics (in a Maths course).
Well done, Jim. That was hard work and many hours of studying.
Lovely........only one thing wrong with any physics related degree....the maths involved!!! (HATE MATHS!!) and uni was a long time ago!
