Yep.

I can't put the sound on - what's different about it?

It's banned phones and social media

On that case, yes

What an excellent battlecruiser

No. Full of grumpy old men talking about ' the good old days ' . andb1966 .

I'm chapping 😁

I have no sound on this PC but it certainly looks like my idea of bliss - no TVs, fruit-machines or juke-boxes. Somewhere to sit quietly and read, or to have a laugh with companions and be able to hear every word.

Shame it's on the wrong side of the Pennines, though. 😜

Man with neck tattoos and a selfie stick visits almost deserted pub for no discernable reason.

Certainly would. No media,no phones,no music. Bliss. A few pints of the foaming nut brown Meths, a couple of crosswords and Social Intercourse

Its heaving innit 😂 I would'nt drink in there even if they allowed mobile phones it looks a right dive  run by crusty old farts 😄

15.59 ah well each to his own!

its not my ideal pub for the reasons mentioned by other abers, but what a great idea, plus pretty good beer, at affordable prices!

If you don't like mobile phones - yes.

If you do - no.

Yes, I would.

piggy - your remarks remind me of this gem.....

A group of guys, all turning 40, discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Wetherspoons in Leeds because the waitresses had big breasts and wore mini-skirts.

Long

Ten years later, at age 50, the friends once again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Wetherspoons in Leeds because the waitresses were attractive. The food and service was good and the beer selection was excellent.

Ten years later, at age 60, the friends again discussed where they should meet for lunch. Finally it was agreed that they would meet at Wetherspoons in Leeds because there was plenty of parking, they could dine in peace and quiet with no loud music, and it was good value for money.

Within the hostelry I frequent with my wife most of the space is wasted by moronic vacant faced young girls typing furiously on text messages. One drink of wobbly pop all night and not a word between them. What company. An inkeeps worst nightmare.

I'm sure there is more than one pub like that, tho I am in part guessing as I've not really watched the video. I have been in at least two pubs that banned mobile phones. One in London one in Somerset somewhere. Not a problem for me personally, though banning the use of phones seems more problematic than banning TVs music or fruit machines. Music is a particular irritation of mine, though again it depends on that you expect from your "pub experience"

I'm not bothered about phonmes per se but some aspects do annoy me. Like when some knobusheadus is playing a loud video that is just a racket to the rest of us! For the most part though I'm not bothered but I am sad that these days when I look round the pub 90% of people are staring at their phones no doubt doing twittubeface or whatever instead of social interaction. I take my phone and answer it when it rings, I don't stare at it continually like so many seem to. Recently I have been able to connect it to the juke box and play tunes, that has proven to be a revalation!

I would much rather ban canned music and constant football played on multiple TV's.  Mobile phones are silent whats the problem? The landlord should not care a toss about what his customers do as long as its within the law, not bothering others, and involves spending money.

//Mobile phones are silent whats the problem?//

The problem is that they are not. On holiday in Majorca a middle aged woman pulled out a phone and started playing a loud dance video. In the middle of the entertainment!

Plus the there is the end of the bell that shouts down the phone and the screeching woman to her mates on a video call.

And thats before we get to the stupid ring tones....
