wolf blass yellow label cab is on offer at morrisons at the mo
Sainsburys Taste The Difference Grüner Veltliner £6.99 with the starter

Sainsburys Taste The Difference Marqués de Almeida Ribera Del Duero £8.99 with the beef.

Maybe SD or JJ could recommend a dessert wine.
Budweiser. 10 can fridge pack, currently £7 in Asda!
Go with NoMercy's suggestion - she knows her stuff. I never drink wine with a sweet so can't help you.
PS Brilliant menu. Where do you live because I'm coming round!
a light dry sherry with the opener or a glass of Tokaji - or more conventionally a Semillion/Sauv Blanc such as an Allegory from Western Oz

A good deep red wine with the beef, for cheaper options than a good French Bordeaux look at some Chilean wines such as their Merlots or Argentinian Malbecs - Italian Barolos would go as well or a Montepulciano, but often that is more of an acquired taste.

Desert - the Tokaji or go for a Hunter's Hukapapa Riesling or if you want something lighter, a Moscato (e.g. Russolo Moscato Rosa or a Navarra Piedmonte Moscato)

What stores do you have near you, Barmaid, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Majestic etc - any more booze specific ones and a budget per bottle? That would allow narrowing in....
Pouilly Fume with the starter and a nice Argentinian Malbec with the main.
Majestic are doing a Cape Mentelle Sémillon Sauvignon 2011 Margaret River
("herbaceous, green fruit flavours are perfectly complemented by the heady lemon blossom aromas of Semillon".) £13-74. Alternative @ £6-24 Hallett Poacher Barossa Valley (discounted from mid-8s).

Chilean: Casa Lapostolle Cuvée Alexandre Merlot 2010/2011 Colchagua Valley £16-24 (superb Merlot): alternative Anakena Indo Merlot 2010 Cachapoal Valley £8-74

Argentinian: Viñalba Gran Reserva Malbec 2009 Mendoza buy 2 and they are £12-99 each (very nice).

NoM's suggestion is good too....Majestic equiv: Cardela Crianza 2008 Bohórquez, Ribera del Duero £8-99 each min 2 bottles.

Moscato: Brown Brothers Late Harvest Muscat 2010/2011 £8-49
Tokaji (note 50cc) Royal Tokaji Late Harvest 2009/2010 £9-99
Cidre bouche.

and for a local equivalent, have you tried this:

About the only thing I can add to the party is a nice Marsala to have with the pudding - I just love the smoothness & it goes so well with anything containing coffee :

I do quite like the "soddit let's drink champagne" solution too - or perhaps a Cloudy Bay Pelorus :

If you can source a champers by the name of Gruet then do! I had it at a restaurant recently and it knocks spots off better known houses.

Btw, do you 'appen to have a Tanners by you? I had their Mud House Pinot Gris recently and it was fantastic. With its aromas of baked apple and custard and flavours of fleshy stone fruits it would make a perfect accompaniment to the parfait. Well worth the £12.49 price tag.
Smithfield Wines and also T Wright, Manchester
Le Bon Vin, Yorkshire
Classic Wine Direct W Sussex
Abbey Wines, Scotland
Flagship, Herts
K&L Wines, Kent
Old School Wines, Staffs
Mumbles Wines, Wales
Nethergates Suffolk
Bijou Bottles, Norfolk

For Gruet - prices from £17-23 a bottle for the non-reserve
