I am so ashamed!!!

Last night me and my mates went out on the town... well me and my friend and her sister in law.
We were drinking wine at my friends first and started chatting about how none of us had ever been in a real fight. We said we had had rows before but never proper fights.

Then we went to town and enjoyed a great night out.

Then afterwards we went to Subway to get some food and as we walked in, some ginger girl was shouting at some guy... he stood there pretty placid and she was drunk and falling about and shouting at him.. she wasn't with him though. So I leant in and said to him 'What's happening?' and he said 'I called her a Ginger minger'. So I laughed and walked off.
I didn't laugh because he called her ginger.. just because she was going mental at the comment.

So I queued (sp?) for my food and was chatting to my friends and this girl was still going on and on and everyone was getting annoyed at how loud she was... So I screamed at her to shut up.. and she looked at me and just mouthed off some cr@p, so I said 'Love, you're a little bit f*cking loud'... Then she told me to shut up and she went outside... Now this p*ssed me off... So I got my food and went outside but my friends were still in the queue... I started chatting to the guy again and he told me how she came in mouthing off at him and he called her a ginger minger. I high fived him at this point and the ginger girl saw and started having a go at me and I was having a go at her and then we were kind of trying to get at eachother but her friend stepped in and was trying to chat to me..

China Doll - That is probably very correct! That's why I am ashamed... I hate fighting and I hate it when you see drunk people brawling in the street but I have never been one to shut my mouth so when she started on me.. that was it... I think anyone could have seen it wasn't going to end well but I didn't actually think we'd have a fight!

It cracks me up how people on here think they can say 'you are a sad drunk'... Like they know you! Lmao. There is no point even 'trying' to argue that as people don't listen.. they can only hear the sound of their own theme tune blaring in their heads! Lol..

Actually... that Umbrella song is blaring in mine.. driving me mad!

Just to point out that I'm welsh and I've never had a fight in my life !!
And yeah you shouldn't have gotten involved really because all joking aside if you didn't know the girl in question you can't make an accurate guess as to wether she was going to do something like pull a knife on you .
My cousin {whos welsh and also not violent} was in a pub in london talking to his girlfriend and some bloke starting being increadibly rude , My cousin asked him to go away and the guy walked off , grabbed a pint glass , came back and broke it in my cousins face so hard that he fractured his jaw in five places and hes still having surgery to try and cover the scars.

ooohhh those.....Nah I just think that people need to be really careful because they assume people are drunk when they might not be .....if you've ever seen anyone off their face on pcp you'd know what I mean , very very scary

The other bit that worries me about this is you dont really know any of the circumstances that led up to the bloke calling her names ..such as maybe she is in an abusive relationship and she finally cracked when he humiliated her in front of her friends and you just added to it.....

Good point there bobsmum, I have a friend who had a mini altercation with a girl in bar. It was a very high profile story, mainly because she was such a beautiful girl and she lost her eye. It prompted some bars in town to only stock plastic bottles and some anonymous business men paid for her to travel to the states to have her eye socket reconstructed and get a top quality false eye.

I think walking away is always the best policy.
