alavahalf, you're all heart! Kind to lonesome bottles, and saviour of the vine!
Jackdaw, they even have the nerve to charge £14 a bottle for it too.
Nope.
As A rule I treat them like puppies in a window.. If you buy one .. You should never leave one on its own.
£14? you're joking! I can get a litre bottle of the full monty for £16.
I barely ever drink nowadays so going without is not an issue for me. I don't feel like I'm denying myself either. Sleep so much better, have loads more energy and my eating habits have vastly improved.
do you have to get one red and white so you aren't accused of operating a colour bar, alavahalf?
I did it last year.
No need to do it again. Got the T-shirt.
Only a few months ago I was told to drink no Beer, lager, red wine or dark spirits. All down to intolerances.
So for the past few months I have been doing my research and have found that Vegan wines are quite acceptable and I have no reaction to them. My research would be going to waste if I have up now.. hence my wine rescue mission ...and yes I have found both Reds and Whites that do away with the headaches.
Therefore I am not discriminating!
For most of my adult life i spent long periods alcohol free...3 or 4 months at a time on oil tankers and one week in 5 to 7 weeks when DH worked in a refinery and was on 24/7 call. It was never an issue and we didn't go wild when we could drink.
I have no intention of having a dry January or indeed any other month. Naughty pleasures keep us going in these miserable times.
haven't touched a drop this Christmas and nor months before, don't feel like it to be honest. I have some champagne which a friend bought me for birthday on CD, i will drink when the time is right, which isn't now.
A glass or 2 or 3 might make you feel a whole lot better.
I go through phases...last year I had no booze for several months at a time. That's pretty common for me.
I began 2020 being very poorly. I recovered just in time to greet Covid and "enjoy" a not so good nine months....hardly tasted a properly pulled pint of G.
I'd be bonkers to willingly join in this... and anyway, where would I find a friend or group of people in the wilds of Kerry to keep me company in non-drinking activities?
who?
that was supposedly to be to diddly

Sorry but I can't accept those whose intake is inconceivably low. Mine is normally likewise high. I have been on the Dry January since just after Christmas, it ain't easy but I can vouch for all the benefits it says on that website; Slept much better, and dreams? Mon Dieu, les rêves, quels rêves. & a few pound lighter to boot.
Carry on guzzling suckers. Later.
If not drinking makes you call other members liars and suckers perhaps you should open a bottle, Khandro.
Are you saying you don't believe those who claim not to drink much?
