Back in those days, Tilly, people could alter things like fonts and colours by inserting HTML coding into their posts. The problem was though that, after posting the code to 'turn on' a particular effect, some people (i.e. Knobby, Legend, et al) 'forgot' to turn it off again, meaning that everything that followed their answer on a page appeared in a strange font and/or colour. When AB's server looks back at old posts now they can come out in some very strange ways.
I can't remember, Webbo, whether it was Legend or Knobby who was the first to respond to a CB post from me.
Having ignored CB for quite some time, I decided to take a look at it. I saw a thread which looked interesting and posted on it. I was ignored. I saw another thread of interest and posted again. I was ignored again. I saw yet another thread where I thought that I'd like to join in and posted yet again. I was ignored again. That kept happening until my SEVENTEENTH post in CB, when I finally got an acknowledgement of my presence. It was a post from one of the aforementioned duo, telling me in no uncertain terms (i.e. with a multitude of four letter words) that I wasn't welcome in CB and that I should stick to AB's 'serious' areas. Legend and Knobby felt that they 'owned' CB and detested what they saw as 'interference' from anyone who didn't conform to their way of doing things.
