Hi webbo3

I think it depends on the area you are in, in our case my son has a Freeview box in his bedroom connected to an indoor aerial and he has perfect reception on all channels. But if its connected to an outside aerial it only gets about half the channels ( go figure ).

By the way we are in Scotland in clear line of sight of the transmitter ( not many places like that) we bought our for our son because they are so cheap for what you get.

Best of luck

Ray

I think a rule of thumb is that if you can get a clear channel 5 on the ariel, it is suitable for freeview.

..mmm..this has been discussed recently...I personally can get all digital Freeview channels with my "ordinary" old outside aerial but get the message..."no signal" with the TV's set top one. For my bedroom tv, I bought a Loft aerial from my local Maplin store (19.99) and put that up in...you guessed it......the loft. Perfect on all channels....good luck. commoner
