For me...and a rescue hound.
I'll be meeting my next new hound on Saturday. I just couldn't wait, but I thought it would take a few months to find a match.
He's a five year old, ex racer who broke his leg. I'm hoping my home will be his forever home.

Sorry...not one I'd normally choose. x
Very apt username for these times, pasta :)
Sammi sounds ideal as you're getting him on a Samedi ;-)
Actually as you are getting him on a Saturday Samedi would be perfect. Or not??
When they change kennel they often get their kennel names changed and never seem to bother - probably because they are rarely used to call them like you would a pet dog - they usually come running to you when you appear at a paddock gate. Often kennel staff just call them part of their racing name so it can seem a very odd name - I had one called Stonehenge!

Lol! I sometimes regret not changing it when we had the chance. I never eat the stuff anymore, though I used to devour it.

^^^ that was to brainiac.
Aaww, that's great news pasta. My niece fosters and rehomes retired greyhounds and I've always found them to be canny big lumps who like their comfort. Sure yours will bring you much joy.
Maybe you could get him a colourful dog jacket:

Lankeela... that's pretty much what I heard. I suppose names mean little until a dog has a relationship with humans that's one of companionship.

He'll be much too elegant for such brightness;)

People used to say Sally...a whippet/grey x...always looked like she was walking in her high heels.
Perhaps just Sam?
Walking him will be great way of relaxing during the coming months, and great company. Lucky boy!

Pasta, our dog and three cats will be my life saver. Hubby walks dog. Ì can't any more, but just having the animals around brings us so much fun (and work!) .

How about Sonny or Lenny?
How exciting, it will be wonderful for you both. x
