I am finding it more and more infuriating on this site having to explain yourself - word for word . It is so difficult to put words onto black and white while it is not exactly in your mind. So hope this goes through Goodnight.

Many of your questions/statements don't make sense. You then get narky when people ask you to explain. You took Canary's comment wrong and started a new thread about it.

You're not the only Irish person using the site and most of us can make ourselves clear.

Should you care? No, not in the slightest, I usually skim read your posts without replying and so far it's had no impact of your enjoyment of the site and nor should it.

Jenny: The written word is so easy to take the wrong way and often its the reader who decides which way to take it, and if they are bored or in a narky mood then they will find something to pick over. ( and in advance of the usual replies, the irony klaxon brigade know where to shove it) I've found a couple of yor posts'challenging' to understand, but its not the end of the world everyone is different just keep on posting at least your posts aren't boring!

I have not read the thread in question, but I, and indeed most regular posters on here, have fallen foul of misunderstandings between intent and receipt, which can cause issues.

It is the curse of written communication, which has the time delay of being read and (mis!)understood before a reply comes back, and this can and does cause issues.

The best way around it is to accept that maybe what you said was not clearly picked up by one or more readers, and that is no-one's fault, it is simply a bugbear we have to work around.

I love your posts JJ. I think that you are an extremely sweet + genuine person. I am hopeless at cryptic crosswords, so for me the next best thing is trying to unravel + understand some of your posts. Please do not take this as criticism, it certainly is not intended to be :)
