I'm glad I'd had my breakfast before I spotted this :

What on earth was going on?

Should we be blaming the Film Industry?

Tasers aren't meant to kill - should we be allowing them to be available to the Police?

I wouldn't be surprised if mind-bending drugs and drinks weren't involved somewhere.

And that may well have some bearing on his own death.
Yes, the police should be allowed tasers.
What's going on is he had just been released from prison after serving half his sentence for attacking his partner.....who decided he was fit for release?

I can't answer about the Film Industry....I just don't know...though we could tell from the behaviour of our school children what they had watched on TV the night before.

Yes to your taser question......x
An eye for an eye, it sounds. Tasers do kill from time to time...I always wonder what the effect would be if one was wet when the bolt hits you?

Why was he released? Sounds like the Parole Board have stuffed up this time.
Why on earth did she agree to go back to the hotel with him after just meeting him? What was she thinking?

So you would prefer Plod to go and arrest a monster like this with their bare hands?

Or are you advocating the carrying of guns?

It was a genuine question - I'd rather have them than guns, yes, but do worry about the increasing use of Tasers.

In this case it was probably the best result all round, but not every case is quite so clear cut.
Yes, I appreciate that Dave, I was just trying to asertain your stance on the matter.

You are right, no all cases are as clear cut as this.

Should save us a fortune in lawyers fees, jail fees and piles of nut doctors fees too. And the liberal left won't be able to let him out again.
Cost us a fortune in police enquiries.
Horrific story. That poor woman, my heart breaks for her family and friends.

Not sure if we can blame the film industry for these kind of cases, sick individuals have been killing and eating victims for centuries.

I'm really in two minds about tasers though...

Apart from the disturbing circumstances surrounding this case, I'm also concerned that he was recently released from prison for serving just half of a sentence for violence. He obviously was not rehabilitated, rehabilitated or reprogrammed during that time, so why let him out early?
