Before we rush in; 'Iran's president Hassan Rouhani said the rise of violent extremism was down to "certain states" and unidentified intelligence agencies who "put blades in the hands of madmen".
Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, Mr Rouhani added that only countries within the region could find a solution to the rise of extremism.
"The right solution to this quandary comes from within the region and regionally provided solution with international support and not from the outside the region." '

well he'd have a point if they'd actually sort it but they wouldn't they'd leave it. The Arabs etc are getting involved now because nato etc is.
well Iranians are nt Arabs - but I suppose they are Muslims

and of course he wouldnt be pointing the finger at himself would he ?

and the right solution would be - well Iran becoming the major player in the region instead of an onlooker
perhaps if he stopped shipping rockets to gaza his words would carry more weight.
It may well be but how do you fight 'unidentified intelligence agencies'?

It appears most likely that Parliament will decide today to start a bombing campaign in Iraq. I have a familiar feeling of foreboding, and fear that in several months time, when the body bags start to return, we shall wish we had listened.
Me too Khandro. I thought history was supposed to be important as it showed us how not to repeat mistakes?
A bigger problem for Hassan Rouhani will be when Syria is liberated by the Capitalist jihadi's leaving the way clear for Israel to target Iranian nuclear facilities.
