Good morning all. I came home from hospital last night and had a wonderful sleep in my own bed.
My operation went smoothly and I now have another interesting scar to add to my collection.
My stay in hospital was not without incident, mainly involving over enthusiastic junior doctors, but you will have to wait until the book comes out to read all about it.
The highlight of my stay was when I had a confrontation with a pen pusher. I was booked for a CT scan and after a 3 day wait I queried it with my consultant. A nurse rang the CT scan department and encountered a very rude woman who said "We have one scanner broken and you have no idea how much pressure I am under" and then hung up on the nurse.
I left the ward, went down to Radiography and demanded to see the CT scan appointments clerk. She reluctantly came out of her office to the desk and was equally rude to me. Big mistake. After a frank exchange of words, mainly from me, I was given the next appointment and lots of smiles and thumbs up from the agog crowd in the waiting room.
Oh, and by the way, as I am back I hereby revoke all my bequests.
Good morning mrs overload, nice to see you back in one piece ( almost ! )
Tony phones the Rupert bear annuals buyer, needs to buy them back damned quick double the price if needs be.
Good luck at the hospital, gness. ( hope the cattle prod is fully charged ).
Glad that you are and none the worse for your confrontation and sound as if you are back to your normal self. It's always so nice to get back into your own bed. Take care
