just took my 3 year old son to docs cause i noticed when he has no clothes on and stands up straight his knees are together but his ankle are far apart, so the docs said hes got flat feet which does run in the family but she said she would refere him cause it looks like knocked knee as well, has anyone had this with their child and what shall i expect?
not had that particular prob with my son, a few other things, try not to worry,as this 'll be picked up on by your son, docs usually pretty good with youngsters, & if any thing needs dealing with, now's the best time
Knock knees can be fairly easily corrected when a child is very young and their joints are still flexible. The doctors may have him measured and fitted for special inserts for his shoes that force him to walk slightly differently, thereby correcting his knock knees,or they may want him to wear splints for a certain amount of hours in a day.Surgery is rarely used for this complaint so there should be no need to worry about that.
