I have recently purchase Audacity software to transfer my LP records to CDs. After some initial problems with Hum I have succesfully transferred some Lps but I cannot workout how to seperate the tracks, consequently each CD recorded has only one track for the whole record.

As a pensioner this is quite an ambitious project for me but I could do with some help. I hav looked at the HELP file but this doe not seem to cover this item.

I don't know why you've bought Audacity as it is entirely free.

Nevertheless, their help pages are excellent and the answer to your question is here:

I would tend to copy just one track at a time rather than the whole LP at once.
You can take the existing single recording, cut the first tune, paste to a new track, save, then repeat for each track, but as Squarebear suggests, it's much easier to record a single track at a time.
