Is there a way that I can tell which mobile network a person is on from their phone number?

There used to be but people can transfer their mobile numbers when they change networks now so it's not accurate

ye. just check the 1st 4/5 no.'s. 0774/0773 - o2 07956/07958 - t mob etc

... but as derbyram just said, millions of people have transfered their mobile numbers, so... no.
