Had email from sister in law, she has dropped her phone down the toilet, she has. Lost all her contact numbers and phone doesn't work, she wants everyone to email phone numbers, boy is she going to be busy, their. Was about thirty names on the list and she wants landline and mobile numbers, rather her than me!

I keep a written list of all my contacts and any other data I have in my phone...better to be safe than sorry.
Even though the phone doesn't work, the SIM card probably does. All your s-i-l needs to do is to put her card into another phone and she should have all the info back again.
Oh...and fotos are always sent to my PC...would hate to lose them.
after putting not one but two phones in the washing machine, I bought a note book and put down all my info + passwords in the book.
Our daughter did exactly the same thing. She put her phone in a bowl of rice and 24 hrs later it was dried out and working normally. Thankfully it fell in loo after she had flushed but she did give it a good rub over with antibacterial gel.
