Withheld Number On Mobile

Probably a very simple answer to this but me being me I can't work it out :-

When I use my mobile to phone someone, on their phone my number does not appear on their caller display. The either get a blank screen, an "unknown number" message or "number withheld" notification appearing.

How can I change this so people can see that it's me calling them?

Someone told me I could dial 1470 before I key in their number but my friends' numbers are all stored in my handset and all I do is pick their names from the contacts list menu so I don't actually key in numbers when I call most people.

You need to go into your settings menu. You will have an option regarding automatically withholding your number. What model is it?

It's a Blackberry Curve.

I'll try looking for Settings and see how I get on.

Thanks.
Should be in settings and then phone or call settings. Usually called show/hide number. Turn it to show number.
