Following on from the Nova Kakhovka thread below, it was pretty obvious things were moving today and here is some sort of media conformation.

Mr Prigozhin, who may be a warmongering criminal but has been pretty frank in his assessments over the weeks, is admitting huge Russian casualties.

Further to this, the Russian military blogger Rybar on telegram claims that 20km of Russia’s defensive front in Zaporizhzhya has completely collapsed and that Ukr has made significant advances. Advancing south of Orikhiv and a place called Velikenovosilke, threatening a strategic road east.
Situation is not at all clear and won’t be for some time. Much was made of pictures of 2 Leopard 2 tanks and several US Bradley IFVs disabled probably by mines and drones. But losses are bound to happen and tte crews appear to have escaped.

Ukraine’s main thrusts appear to be happening at night, taking advantage of their superior night vision equipment.
