I've just learned that the 16 year old son of a former neighbour took his life barely a month ago. On the railway tracks near his home.
He was going to catering college and doing very well. I'd only seen his mum about 6 weeks ago.
Words fail me. I need to contact his mum...but am still trying to absorb this.

Sometimes young people just can't cope, and they don't know how to ask for help.

Condolences to you pasta, and your neighbour's family.

His mum will be devastated and need lots of support. Friends like you Pasta will be a godsend at this sad time.

It must be hard for his family and friends to deal with the death of one so young, but for his death to suicide will make it so much worse.

At least mental health issues and suicide are no longer subjects that no one talks about.

I was his age when my struggles began, I wouldn't wish experience on anyone.

I've found the news report...with a photo. He looks a confident young man....and I wouldn't have recognised him if I'd not been looking. The last time I saw him was over 3 years ago, near where I worked as his school was there.
So much promise...

I was a few years older wolf, when the anxiety and panic attacks took over.

Not blaming catering college.But I went to one 30yrs ago. It was such a stressful atmosphere. It didn't affect me being a mature student, but i felt something in the air, but I cudnt put my finger on it. Anyway about 2 yrs later, while working as a waiter, a woman I worked for, had 1 daughter who went to the same college as me, 6mths later she was found by her young bfriend hanging from the ceiling!!!!!
