The Queen has refused to pay Prince Andrew's legal fees in the sexual abuse case he is facing.
Andrew who is now unemployed and no longer earning needs cash fast.
The only asset he has is a Chalet at a Ski resort in Switzerland he and Fergie purchased worth £16m
He is desperate to sell ..Does anyone feel sorry for him.
Should Boris step in and bail him out with Tax payers money from the..... Crony Club Fund......

anne, I'm told by my local royalty expert that he was very good in that nebulous trade envoy job. He has his mother's knack for remembering names and faces and jobs and was quite sharp in putting people in touch with one another in ways that benefited them both.
Khandro - Prince Andrew's service is a matter of record, bur it's not money in the morality bank to be withdrawn when you behave badly, and he has made a career out of that, which comprehensively obliterates any goodwill his undisputed bravery may have earned him.
I disagree that his more recent alleged behaviour obliterates any good will his service record earned him. Credit where credit is due. His current situation should never reflect on that.
I agree with Naomi, just as good behaviour now should not impact on bad behaviour in the past.
Jimmy Savile did lots of good but it wasn't considered to offset his evil.
Naomi The key word in your observation is 'should'.

Human nature is in play here, Andrew's behaviour 'should' not diminish his reputation .... but it has.
I'm not saying everything he does today should be cancelled by his past record**, I'm simply responding to the statement that he had never done anything.

**though such things are often taken into account in criminal proceedings
hello boys and gurlz
isnt a case judged on its facts ?

i mean - ignore me if I am right: you usually do
//isnt a case judged on its facts ?//
Yes & I'm not referring to this case, but a defendant who had led an exemplary life, shown consistent good character & erred once, would be looked at differently than an old blag who had been in & out of jail & been continually on the wrong side of the law all his life.
^^^^ by a judge
He shoulda stayed with Fergie - they were a match!
AH, it might be your nature but it isn’t mine so you’re wrong to generalise. His current situation hasn’t diminished his Falklands service for me.
Khandro - I expressed what I believe to be public perception, not my personal opinion.
