There should be no excuse for people not getting jabs, unless for medical reasons. I think Employers have every right to insist that employees have had their inoculations, if not, no job.

//..so he [Charlie Mullins] is a caring employer…//

Would this be the same Charlie Mullins who argued (over seven years, all the way to the Supreme Court) that the people working for Pimlico Plumbers were not his employees at all?:

No doubt it is but people in the current situation will overlook that and I have no doubt his business will flourish in the coming months and especially from people who have survived Covid.
He is making a smart business move I reckon
So not because he's a "caring employer" (or, as he'd rather have it, a person who farms out work to contractors) then?
yes thank you NJ
it rang a bell
His actions in this instance make him look like a caring employer NJ and I do not believe any future customers will know about or care for his previous actions in the current crisis
His company had a massive 'B@ll@cks to Brexit' sign beside the track outside of Waterloo station a while ago. Ironically, it'll be the UK that facilitates his 'no jab no job' idea because it probably wouldn't be allowed under current EU laws.

Not only that, if we had joined the EU's vaccination programme I doubt he'd have anybody available to work for him for some time yet! :-)
