we've just finished binge-watching.
Seasons 1 - 6, absolutely excellent.
Maybe a few quibbles with a few moments in the occasional episode, but on the whole, thoroughly enjoyable.
James Spader was excellent - well, the entire cast to be honest.
Roll on Season 7.
I binged a whole load ages ago, but I didn’t finish it - I’m just going to watch the current season and pretend I haven’t missed anything (after I’ve finished binge watching Nashville). There’s some sort of spin off but I can’t remember what it’s called (something to do with female leads iffy boyfriend).
Absolutely loved it from day one. I love Red's dark humour, currently watching new season on Sky, you won't be disappointed. If you like this you should try Blindspot as well.
I get fed up with it about season 3....I mean it was always a bit gory but it seemed to lose the plot and get all gratuitous. Its a pity because I am a long time James Spader fan.
Found this by chance a couple of weeks ago by happening across an episode of Series 6 whilst channelsurfing.
Went back to Series 1 via Sky Box Sets and currently watching a couple of episodes a night - about halfway through Series 2 now.
Spader is just brilliant, Megan Boone was a bit out of her depth to start with, but is now well up to speed after 30 or so episodes - Alan Alda was excellent as a guest - I wonder who else will turn up?
If you have Sky Q, then the downloads are available as UHD (from S2 onwards) and look absolutely great on a big screen.
Yes it's gory (and the casual violence is occasionally jaw dropping), but it's some of the best TV I've seen in a while.
Yes, it has been excellent. Spader is wonderful, the style and production very cool and great writing.
I thought they might end the series after the ending to series six, but a seventh series has been commissioned (so Reddington isn’t dead).
Beware Blacklist: Redemption the spin-off series featuring Tom. That was pretty tedious.
