Yes she was, she played Twinkle. She's lost a lot of weight since then though.

I remember her being in a documentary once, about hopefuls from RADA. Jane Horrocks went back to visit the place and even then they were citing Maxine as the next Jane.

There's a book of photos just been published called 'Offstage' - 100 photos of RADA alumni to celebrate its anniversary. There are two stunning photos of both actresses in there.

She came back for the 3rd(?) series of dinnerladies and V. Wood was appalled as she'd written lots of 'fat' jokes.
