So annoying ....
When I'm up for work, I'm usually out of bed for 7.30am ish.
Day off today - yay .... time for a lie in .... hoping to get up at 8.30, maybe even 9.00.
Not a chance - I woke at 6.45am and after 10 minutes of lying there wide awake, I knew I wasn't going to get back to sleep, so up and out of bed at 6.55 on my day off .... so freakin' annoying lol.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here ..... am I ????

Now you have more time to enjoy your day off ;-)
I've been told you should get up at the same time you usually do regardless of what time you fell asleep otherwise it stuffs your body clock up.
Have a couple of pints at lunchtime and sleep the afternoon away.
I never ever lie in, I get out of bed the second I open my eyes, I cant lie in bed if I am awake. I usually get about 7.30, the very first thing I do is walk the hounds, I then wash and and make tea etc. on my return, I've always been the same, even as a teenager.

I do often have a 15 minute nap in the afternoons if I got nothing better to do.
You miss the point. You have an hour's surf of AB on your mobile before reluctantly getting up :-)
I get up at half 4 for work so I can lie in a bit at weekends and still get up earlyish. At the latest 8am but am usually awake a while before that and if I can't get straight back to sleep I have to get up.

What makes it more annoying is that the missus is off today as well.
She normally gets up at 6.45am .... yet today she managed to lie in til 8.30 ish .... in the words of Sydney Youngblood - "if only I could" :(
Giz,...i've developed an abnormal sleep pattern over last couple of years, a good 2hrs in front of TV in the evening, then wide awake till 3am, often having nosy on here, then bed to sleep as long as i can,...cos I can :)

Blimey Eve, that's a crazy time to be up,....good for you if you manage to accumulate hours off ;) Have you checked out cat cafe yet? ;)

Giz....I am wide awake at 06:00 or even earlier these days. My Little Willy needs to pee, and lest me know, very vigorously if I ignore him.

But isn't it rather nice to wake up at 06:00, realise that its Sunday and not Monday, and then turn over a go back to sleep again !
I get woken at night for the same reason, Mikey.
My ears were burning, morning all... :-)

Very appropriate name Lie-in King lol :P
i get up at 5.15 during the week on a weekend my wish is to sleep for longer but the furry alarm clock won't allow it.
furry alarm clock, oh my.
Hoppy....I meant to add that my dog needs to pee as well !
ten to six out of bed, come rain, sun or snow, doesn't matter what day it is...R4 tweet of the day and the 6am news.
Get up when I wake up which is usually early.
I'm up at 6 and at work by 7.45. I don't surface till around 9 - 9.30 at weekends and if Little Tiggs is away at his dads I'm not up till 10ish!!

I love my sleep :o)
It's very rare I'm in bed after 06.00,still thats a lie in comparesd to when I had my dear old furry alarm,Max came alive when the sun came up and insisted that if the sun was up it was time for his walk.
I work odd shifts, so my body does not have a set time to get up. I do, however, feel lazy if i get up past 07:59 hours, I love to have the day to myself so I'm usually up by 4:30/5ish. Lie-ins are for work days only
