RIP Keith.
Shot you guys. One of those daft bits of info. I have had in my head since way back. You know never check in case its false memory. Saw some great bands and performers at The Torch and the Place in Hanley. Even saw Van Morrison with Them at the dingy Embassy club in Burslem. Scary.
Togo, were you at the Torch when Major Lance recorded The Live At The Torch album ?.
Oh, dear! RIP, sad. Beginning to feel old. :(
No av I had moved to N.Wales by summer 1968.For the first few months I used to go back to say hi. But eventually passed on the baton.
Ah well, wish I had been there, Togo.
My younger brother and mate of his 'sparky' were there I am sure.
Jammy beggars.
He was also a pal of Alan Day being in the same class all through school. Young Mr Day became a bit of a feature in the new 'Northern Soul' thing, after watching we older guys go to the Torch when he was too young.
Blimey, was he, Togo. Alan Day was a top ( Northern Soul ) DJ.
Think we owe Svejk a heads up and a sorry av, we have diverted a bit there. Sorry Svejk.
Yes apologies, Svejk. ( although it was Togo's fault for mentioning PP Arnold ) ;-)

Don't be daft. 'Going back' is one of the pleasures of music.
It's a shame we only 'meet' at 'funerals' nowadays.

They're saying he shot himself now.
first concert I ever saw was ELP in Preston at the Guildhall 1972...rip Keith
Just heard the news this morning, what a sad loss.
exciting music. RIP.
As melv16 said, I am indeed gutted.

ELP were one of may all-time favourite bands, I am so sorry to lose the genius that was Keith to such a tragedy. I remember being at Reading Festival one year and seeing KE chatting with journalist Chris Welch, who I think was best man at KE's wedding. I hung around hoping to have a chat, but they were too deep in conversation, and I felt a bit conspicuous, so I wandered off.

A truly sad loss to prog fans everywhere.
