There are all sorts of treasures, over on Radio Four Extra, waiting to be discovered ladies !
I remember him in 'The Land That Time Forgot' with Doug McClure and the girl who played Frank Finlay's daughter in 'Bouquet Of Barbed Wire' and 'At The Earth's Core' starring with Peter Cushing and Doug McClure again....also sure he was in episodes of The Sweeney, The Professionals and The New Avengers, but he was brilliant in Duty Free, where he was probably best known.
mikey; Have you tried the series, 'Living with the Gods' by Neil MacGregor - he ex of the British museum, who brought us a 'History of the world in 100 objects' . A series of 15 minute talks - fabulous!
Yes K...whenever I can. I am a radio chap at heart.

But I am enjoying the re-runs of "Lost in Space" over on the Horror channel. When I was 13, EVERY boy watched this, even though it looks like rubbish today.

I was watching last nights episode, and it was the second series, which they filmed in colour
( sorry...color ! ) so I am seeing this for the very first time in over 50 years, as it was intended to be seen.

Apologies to Barsel for high-jacking his thread.
Hi Mikey,

Lost In Space used to be on ITV about 4:30pm weekday ( think a Thursday ) after school, when I was a kid, and being into most sports including football, tennis and diving/swimming, was always late home so didn't see hardly any episodes..no VCR's in that day, so couldn't record....same with Land Of The Giants and The Time Tunnel too, and remedied that problem a few years ago and bought them all on DVD Box Sets including Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea....so sitting on my DVD cabinet with pride.....now, to only find time to watch them is a work in progress. I will eventually. ☺

Apologies again Barsel.
Yogi....keep an eye out for the Horror Channel....it has all sorts of goodies on offer !
Will do, Mikey...and thanks for the tip.

I do like to see a man who appreciates great, but sometimes a bit corny, Cult Classic TV and films.
I love all Hammer stuff too and have all Christopher Lee's Dracula movies, amongst many others.
I think I saw him in Benedorm
He played a Deputy Mayor in Benidorm.
I was sitting in Zizzi at Hampton Court and he walked past with his bag of provisions from the local corner shop. Turns out he lived around the corner ( kept himself to himself from what I've heard) I didn't realise he was that old. RIP
mikey and 237; Suggest we start a R4extra thread?
Apologies once again.
I liked him, RIP Keith.
Lovely man. Had no idea he was that age.
What is an R4extra thread? I think you have the wrong person

Always seemed a nice and gentle man.....have just finished listening to him in To The Manor Born....a lovely listen....x
Khandro....I agree. We don't discuss the radio often on enough on here.....if it wasn't for my Archers threads, we wouldn't discuss it all !
was a good actor, R.I.P
237, I mean a thread called 'Radio 4 Extra' a bit like a book club really, instead of all reading a book the participants could listen to a programme and discuss it.
Khandro, I think that's a very good idea - although I don't know how popular it would be. I have the radio on when I'm pottering about, but I can't work with it on and I wouldn't just sit and listen to it for any length of time. Don't know about other people.
