Is it just my perception , or are drivers getting more impatient nowadays ? -

Take the ones who overtake you to arrive at the junction a few seconds before you do

Take the ones driving behind , who have got their hand stuck on the horn when your'e at a junction waiting to make sure , before you pull out , that the vehicle coming along the main road ( indicator operating ) really does intend to turn

My driving instructor told me to put my foot on the brake for a second if an idiot was driving right up my backside. I still do this.
My OH is one of those idiots. I often shout at him to back off, but he still feels an extra couple of seconds to get to the supermarkets is worth it.
We find that a good long blast on the windscreen washers deters most tailgaters. With modern washers the spray bounces off your windscreen and on to theirs and all but the thickest of them realise after a couple of blasts that you'd rather they weren't so close.
I'll try that next time, bhg.
cloverjo; no need to actually brake either, just a quick on and off the light switch looks like you are braking, and safer.
Yes, that's what I meant really. Just a warning.
