Have a few hours to wait at Edinburgh railway station tonight, with two suitcases. Any ideas where I could visit nearby that would be open - do not want nightclubs, discos or places to eat - more general interest/ cultural places that are open.

Thought the only cultural places of interest in Edinburgh were the local 'Boozers' ! Go for a pint ! lol
Well when you come out the station youre directly opposite Edinburgh Castle and could have a little walk around Princes St Gardens whitch look onto the Castle..Depends the time of night and with it being Sunday i'm not sure if many of the attractions would be open much later than 4.Maybe someone else could help you on that one once you arrive at the station.

Have a nice few hours in our lovely capital city !!.
not much chance of going far with two suitcases, take a book or the Sunday papers to while away the time in the nearest pub. or station cafeteria. good luck.
